Study of Combining Ability Analysis in Cherry Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme)

چکیده
The study aimed to show the best effect of general combining ability (GCA) and specific (SCA) for parents their hybrids studied traits. included two main successive seasons. In first season, cherry tomato pure lines were selected that introduced from Tomato Genetics Resource Center (TGRC) at University California, Davis in USA, 5 which most genetically Distant are (LA4451, LA4753, LA3334, LA1221 LA4689) its code (1, 2, 3, 4 5) respectively entered into Full Diallel crossing program produce individual crosses. second season an experiment compare genotypes (5 + 20 cross-hybrids. reciprocal hybrids) according RCBD design with three replications. results as follows: 1 showed a significant combine desired direction terms fruit set percentage weight, while superiority parent plant yield total yield. was superior number flowers inflorescence, fruits, whereas hybrid (5×1) inflorescence 35.667, 259.66, 15.69 fruits 86.83. (1×4) appeared shown desirable traits average weight 1.47, 0.55 0.69.

Genome-Wide Association Mapping in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Is Possible Using Genome Admixture of Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme
Genome-wide association mapping is an efficient way to identify quantitative trait loci controlling the variation of phenotypes, but the approach suffers severe limitations when one is studying inbred crops like cultivated tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). Such crops exhibit low rates of molecular polymorphism and high linkage disequilibrium, which reduces mapping resolution. The cherry type tomat...

To investigate the effects of organic fertilizers and irrigation frequencies on yield and quality of cherry tomato an experiment was conducted using six fertilizer doses including control (no fertilizer), NPK fertilizer (urea at 300 kg, TSP 200 kg and MoP 250 kg), cow-dung at 5 t ha-1, cow-dung at 10 t ha-1, poultry manure at 5 t ha-1 and poultry manure at 10 t ha-1 with two levels of irrigatio...
متن کاملVariation Revealed by SNP Genotyping and Morphology Provides Insight into the Origin of the Tomato
Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, is divided into two widely distributed varieties: the cultivated S. lycopersicum var. lycopersicum, and the weedy S. lycopersicum var. cerasiforme. Solanum pimpinellifolium is the most closely related wild species of tomato. The roles of S. pimpinellifolium and S. l. cerasiforme during the domestication of tomato are still under debate. Some authors consider S. l. c...
متن کاملProteomic analysis of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum, formerly hycopersicon esculentum) pollen
In flowering plants, pollen grains are produced in the anther and released to the external environment with the primary function of delivering sperm cells to the female gametophyte. This study was conducted to identify proteins in tomato pollen and to analyse their roles in relation to pollen function. Tomato is an important crop which is grown worldwide and is an excellent experimental system....
